About PSC

The Faculty of Nursing, Chiang Mai University is an internationally leading education and research institution committed to ranking among the top 100 nursing institutions worldwide according to the QS World University Rankings.

The Publication Support Center (PSC) was established to assist lecturers, researchers, and graduate students in preparing manuscripts for publication in international databases following the faculty’s policy. The PSC provides a range of services, including recommending suitable journals for publication, proofreading by language experts, translating from Thai to English, and reviewing articles by visiting professors.

Publication Support Center Manuscript Review Guidelines For Publications in International Journals

Initial Submission (Faculty members/Researchers)
  1. Submit for Review: Format your manuscript according to your chosen journal’s author guidelines and submit it to PSC. Access the submission form at: https://research.nurse.cmu.ac.th/psc/login/
  2. Assistance with Journal Selection: If you cannot identify a journal, submit the manuscript and note that you need help finding a suitable journal. PSC staff will compile a list of appropriate journals for you to choose.
  3. Manuscripts based on Graduate Student thesis: Manuscripts based on a graduate student thesis can be processed through the PSC, but must be submitted by the faculty member who is the corresponding author of the manuscript. [Click to download Request form (PDF | WORD)]
Manuscript Editing by Manuscript Language (PSC Staff)
  1. English manuscripts: An English editor will correct the manuscript for grammar, flow, and readability.
  2. Thai manuscripts: A translator will translate into English and the editor will correct for grammar, flow, and readability.
Academic Review (PSC Staff)
  1. Visiting Professor Review: PSC staff will assign the manuscript to one of FON’s visiting professors by email. The Visiting Professor will review the manuscript for content and scientific rigor.
  2. Communication with Visiting Professor: Visiting Professor and faculty member/researcher to communicate directly by email, making sure to cc: PSC staff. The manuscript will likely undergo several drafts and edits.
Journal Submission (Faculty member/Researcher/PSC Staff)
  1. Submit to Journal: Once manuscript is ready, submit the article to the journal according to journal guidelines.
  2. Submission Assistance: If you need assistance with submission to the journal, please contact PSC staff.
Compensation for Published Manuscripts
  1. Faculty members/Researchers: with manuscripts accepted to an ISI/Scopus/TCI indexed journal should submit the link of the published manuscript to research.nursingcmu@gmail.com so PSC staff can review and determine if it meets the CMU requirements for compensation. PSC staff will process the compensation and page charges for publications that meet the requirements.
  2. Manuscripts based on Graduate Student thesis: Student manuscripts with a faculty member as the corresponding author can only be processed for publication compensation if they have been accepted into journal in SCOPUS/ISI. The faculty member/corresponding author can apply for compensation and page charges based on procedures outlined in item 10.
